2010 Miggle Convention Huge Success!

2010 MIGGLE CONVENTION HUGE SUCCESS!

Dear Friends,

If you weren’t at this year’s convention, you missed one of the best yet! We kicked-off Friday night with some “surprise” guests, good food and a game called “Deal or No Deal.” Then the rest of the weekend was filled with fierce competition, fellowship and a whole lot of fun! We are sure some of the details will be posted.

We want to give Dave Haydel and Mike Guttmann a BIG “thank you” again for all their efforts in running a first class tournament. They made it a challenge and fun for all the coaches all weekend. And, we want to give Ken Allen and Frank Johnson a BIG “thank you” for once again doing their “gig” for the game time announcing--in a way only they can do. Also, a HUGE “thank you” goes to David Redmond for his incredible singing of the National Anthem before game time. It was beautiful! Margie and Brandy, “thank you” too, you’re the best!

We want to give a SPECIAL “thanks” to ALL the volunteers at the convention… There are too many to mention by name, but you know who you are—everyone who helped Margie, helped set up the game boards, helped Dave and Mike or just asked what you could do for us. We couldn’t have done it without you!

And, finally, a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Butch Carter for becoming the “2010 National Electric Football Champion” in a hard fought battle. The new trophy this year was an elegant piece of crystal with a football on top, along with a Ring. We know he was thrilled and relieved it was over!

Remember, the success of the Miggle Tournament and Convention is ALWAYS because of ALL of you!

Because of family obligations,I couldn't go this year BUT I had a great time anyway because every day, I got to visit with guys that were there, filling me in, passing the phone around, laughing, joking, and telling me that I was missed (at least the guys that have never shared a room with me said that)! I spent a moment every day to check the website to see how the games were going and thanks to the photos and stories shared, was able to know that Butch had won at almost the same instant everyone else did. Thanks Mike and Delayne for putting this event on! It is a great expense and requires a lot of effort from the staff to pull it off but the Miggle Convention is the heart of all the electric football tournaments. It is where we all came from and starts each new year on a good foot. It is the event that all the rest of us strive to be, not because of its exciting competition or being the first to get the new bases or the free meal, but because it is where our EF family gathers for its annual renewal. It never fails that after this convention, there is a upswing in the EF communities mood and in its excitement for the game!

Thanks again to Miggle for providing this hobby with so much more than just the game!

this years convention went far and beyond my wildest thurst for fun and fellowshipping,mike and delayne i truly enjoy myself everytime i come,they just keep getting better and better.and this year's oh boy i had a blast.all i have to say to you is what i feel about you and all the people who help put on this great event,and that is class,nothing but true and honest class, top notch people with class.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to the Landsman's for giving me the opportunity to attend my first convention.

It was great to meet and talk with so many EF enthusiests and truly GREAT people. Had a great time and look forward to next year.

Also, thanks to Mike and Dave for all they do and the rest of the Miggle staff and volunteers.

I was so glad that you called me and you were able to talk to some of the guys. Raiderman did the same thing by constantly calling for updates. We missed both of you.

Thanks to the Landsmans, you two know how to put on a show. Getting Guttmann & NO Dave in the fold were 2 excellent choices (you guys did an great job)

This was my 13th straight Miggle Convo and they just keep getting better. This one was maybe a lil more special than past because this was the one that almost didn't happen.
I will not go into names of all the coaches I had the pleasure of spending time with, you know who you are!!!!!
How can you beat a free tourney? A free meal & free drinks!?!??!
Miggle does it BIG!!!!!!!

I want to give a special shout out to Dewayne Jennings. The classiest man in our sport. DJ, the special guest were just awesome. That's amazing that you have all those ties to the Buckeyes. You really repped your home town buddy. (Don't forget me!!!! )

Like soo many of you have said I can't tell you how much fun and fellowship i had as i am still taking it all in. I will always treasure this Miggle and thank you sooo very much Mr. and Mrs. Landsman for putting on such a special event. It was top notch and I could not have ever dreamed it could be so special. To those of you who helped run the whole show, you all did an excellent job and i enjoyed it all.

The convention was great. I'm a quiet guy, except when I'm at work, so I didn't do a lot of talking for the couple hours I was there. I chatted a few minutes with Mr. Landsman and a couple other fellows but I had a ball. I enjoyed watching the electric action and was surprised by the fact that my Steelers would have destroyed most of the teams playing. The level of concentration displayed by the folks playing appeared to be intense so I know why guys say they are tired at the end of a tourney. I bought some nice products from Miggle and purchased a nice 620 board for $25 from a gent. Thanks Miggle for a nice couple hours and long live electric football.

It was a very close call for me this year and I almost didnt get a chance to enjoy the convention in my own home town...Im so glad I made it...then I made a choice I thought I would regret. Taking a 4 year old who really didnt understand what this event was all about...it was no mistake for sure. My son loved the event and I would like for him to be able to attend more. The Landsmans got a chance to meet my parents also and thank you Mike and Delayne for speaking so highly of me. I may almost be 40 but Im still moms little boy and her face lit up when she saw me enjoying the same game I loved as a kid.
Thank you for making sure the event happened and I hope you can do it again. Im always here if you need me...
